Santa Dash: 14 December

For the second year running this community charity event returned to Southampton Common with over 150 participants. The emphasis was on fun as all competitiors wore a Santa suit to compete in.

The event was in aid of a great local charity, Wessex Heartbeat. Set up in 1992, Wessex Heartbeat is one of the region's major charities and ensures that the best possible care is provided for all those affected by heart conditions. Wessex Cardiac Centre in Southampton General Hospital is one of the UK's leading heart treatment centres treating around 20,000 people a year, a thousand of which are children.
